1. Detroit (0-16)  Well I do not take the Georgia QB here as in my opinion he is vastly over rated. They have so many needs and no one is gonna trade up here and pay the kings ransome that the 1st pick takes in. Detroit just signed a defensive coach to lead their team and I believe you have to go defense here. I do not like the DE's or the DT's. I guess I will take Aaron Curry, LB Wake Forrest to team with  Ernie Sims here.

2. St. Louis (2-14) The Rams have many needs, and none of them are going to put them over the top this year. One of the most glaring is their defense and offensive line. I really like to take playmakers here. Forget the DE's and they went thast route last year. There are two people that I consider here. If this was perhaps the 12th pick I would go OT. There are many good OT's but none I call a franchise LT. I see David Carr as a reach back then along with Joey Harrington and  Vince Young and Jamarcus Russell. The kid from KState falls into that catgory this year. The Rams need defense. My choice is Malcolm Jenkins CB-S from Ohio State.

3. Kansas City (2-14) The Chiefs have their QB. Otherwise Sanchez is my guy right here. I like him alot for many reasons. I do not like taking a WR here and many say 6 of them could go in the first round..I think in this case there are no LB's or CB's I take remaing this high so I think you go with the best OL in Eugene Monroe OT of Virginia. There...safe pick.

4. Seattle (4-12)  Here is my spot that I take Mark Sanchez of USC. New HC and starting over in Seattle. I would dangle Matt Hasselback to the Vikings, 49ers, Panthers and Buccaneers...just to name a few. You can still get something decent and you have a new franchise guy who could sit one year before playing.

5. Cleveland (4-12) This is an easy pick. Possibly the best player in the draft, Beanie Wells RB from Ohio State. Word is out Braylon Edwards is heading to the Giants for a 1st and a 3rd. That allows the Browns to replace Edwards later or add to the offensive line.

6. Cincinnati (4-11-1) The Begals are in a lot of trouble. They lost TJ Howdoyouspellhisname and Chad Johnson wants out. I can not see Marvin Lewis making it past this year. I really think this is a team that you blow up. Personally I would trade Carson Palmer if I could get what the Bears got for a QB with a supposedly implied drinking problem and somewhat alienated from his team mates. If the Bengals did trad Palmer I would perhaps go Matthew Stafford here. But they havent, so I will pick OT Andre Smith of Alabama despite his issues. This is a perfect fit for him.

7. Oakland (5-11) Tha Raidas! Do you have any hope for this group while Al Davis is around? Me neither. I am not going to put much thought into this because does it really matter? Lets at least give them a trenches guy. Jason Smith OT Baylor who is considered by some as the best OT in the draft.

8. Jacksonville (5-11) Well this is an intersting place. There is one person who has to go here and that is WR Eric Crabtree of Texas Tech who some have as the best WR in the draft. The Jags have lost many this off season. Matt Jones and a few others. They will be happy if this were to be their pick.

9. Green Bay (6-10) It is always hard to pick for your team. Players that I want are gone. My choice would have been Beanie Wells because he will be a star. On defense the team needs a DE, an OLB and a Safety. The offense can use help at OL for certain. Malcolm Jenkins would have been my second choice here. I am sure some think I reached for him at the Rams spot, but he will show you a lot of Charles Woodson type play in the future.OT Michael Ohr is a consideration. I think because of the new 3-4 defense and issues opposite Cullen Jenkins I pick DE Tyson Jackson from LSU. Looking at the team, I wish they would offer a blockbuster type to Carolina. Al Harris, Donald Driver and Aaron Kampman who does not fit into the scheme for Julius Peppers and Chris Gamble. It would fill needs for both teams and if that were to happen my choice here is Percy Harvin.

10. San Francisco (7-9) People shout Josh Freeman. I say look out below Vince Young! Well I am going to give you a local boy who is a football player. USC MLB Rey Maualaga

11. Buffalo (7-9) The Bills have to win now. They have an issue at RB and I think you solve it here and now and possibly trade Lynch too.  My choice here is Knowshon Moreno RB from Georgia. 2nd best back in the draft and very versatile.

12. Denver (8-8) New Head Coach and new start. The Kyle Orton era...sigh. There is a glaring issue here at WR with Marshall and all of his problems. I would pick Mizzou WR Jeremy Macklin at this position to help as a big play guy.

13. Washington (8-8) Hot seat for Jim Zorn unfortunately. They got a steal in Albert Haynesworth. I think they need a new starting QB and here is another spot I would welcome Matt Hasselback. i do not think Campells instincts are good and he seems to throw late. 13 is not a bad spot for Texas DE Brian Orakpo. Not as big of a risk here.

14. New Orleans (8-8) The Saints.....the top two RB's are gone. I am not sure if Mike McKensie can return. If this is my team at this point I have to go CB which has been a need to find someone opposite number 34. Illinois CB Vontae Davis makes the most sense here.

15. Houston (8-8) Everyone laughed when they passed on Reggie Bush and we were all wrong about how that turned out for Mario Williams. Much better player. Down around here it is easier to take chances on players and not worry if it is a failure because after all its a crap shoot. OL has long been an issue and here I give them OL Miss OT Michael Oher   to help.

16. San Diego (8-8) The Chargers and their miracle comeback and decent  playoff showing was impressive. Lets just face it, Shawn Merriman being out and Norv Turner on the sidelines is killing them. I have the perfect name for the right spot here. USC LB Clay Matthews who brings some attitude and athleticism to the team.

17. New York Jets (9-7) The Jets need WR's and they also need a QB. I do not view Matthew Stafford much different than I view Chad Henne. Perhaps people do not see the need for a QB as bad as they might a WR here. I think in the best interest of the team I pass on Stafford here and go with WR Darrius Heyward-Bey of Maryland. Great speed and size.

18. Denver (from Chicago)(9-7) Well I have to take Matthew Stafford QB Georgia here if he were available. This is about where he should be too

19. Tampa Bay (9-6) Tampa needs to look to Seattle. Hell no I do not take Josh Freeman here. Tampa needs offensive scoring and the juggernaut from Florida is a great fit here. Percy Harvin WR-KR-RB Florida   the true MVP of the Gators

20. Detroit (from Dallas) (9-7) The Lions took a LB with the first pick. Lets keep that going and take BJ Raji here the DT from Boston College. Once again, safe pick here, not so much up on top. Two quality players to help start a foundation. If a team can keep themselves in a game then they can improve.

21. Philadelphia (9-6-1) Rumors surround trades. One is to GB with the 9 pick for both Eagle picks. i kind of doubt that. Considering the fortune they have had with Donovan McNabb I would not be surprised in an interest in Josh Freeman. Not me.I look at the TE from Ok State and think about that. i also look at the RB issues they have had and that is why I pick RB from Pitt LeSean McCoy to help carry the load. I think he can be a starter in the NFL.

22. Minnesota (10-6) I have the perfect fit here....back to his home state, James Larunitis LB from Ohio State. Good fit. He will never be great but he will be a real dependable player that will make you a few plays here and there.

23. New England (11-5) The defense needs to be updated and improved. My pick here is PSU DE-LB Aaron Maybin ...a safe pick here but I think way over rated by some. Could blossum on this team. This is a team trying to get younger.

24. Atlanta (11-5) The Falcons more than likely are in for a rude awakening this year. It is one of those teams that you can say remind you of the 13-3 Packers, Fragile. Good coaching job last year and many things went their way. It will be intersting to see if their young QB can have another good year. Here I am going to give them an Athlete Connor Barwin DE/OLB?TE Cincinnati

25. Miami (11-5) This is the team I see taking a dip as well. New England will rule the division again. i do not see Chad Pennington staying healthy or consistant for that matter. They are a lot of hustle on defense and smoke and mirrors on offense. my choice for them is Brandon Pettigrew TE Ok State

26. Baltimore (11-5) The Ravens had a pretty darn good year with a rookie QB. I think he needs some more weapons. They seem ok at RB but very thin at WR. So a WR it must be and after some thought I pick NC WR Hakeem Nicks for the Ravens

27. Indianapolis (12-4) The Colts are a good team that has a need in the front line protecting Peyton Manning. My choice is the best Center in the draft out of California. Alex Mack . Good size and a pretty good player. Jeff Saturday may not be there much longer

28. Philadelphia (from Carolina) (12-4)   The Eagles have a RB and now some defense to keep Jimmy Johnson Happy. He likes athletes so I will give him one in DE Everette Brown who is a safe pick here. The FSU defensive players have been more of a crap shoot in recent years, But JJ can use athletes.

29. New York Giants (12-4) The Browns may well own this pick. If they do not the Giants have to go after a WR and Rutgers WR Kenny Britt will be a good choice here as he has size and some speed to help the Giants offense.

30. Tennessee (13-3) The Titans have a lot of needs for a team 13-3. They were struggling at the end of last year.  DT from Mississippi Peria Jerry  should help a little. Losing Albert Haynesworth is a big loss. The QB fiasco is even a bigger distraction.

31. Arizona (9-7) So close. What a shame and the Zebras helped out in this one. Arizona OT Eben Britton is a good fit here as the Cardinals need help on that offensive line and a home state guy is good. No one expects the Cardinals to make it back, but they could improve in the regular season in a weak division.

32. Pittsburgh (12-4) The Steelers always love to build on that defense. So that is what I will give them. Defense. U Conn's fine corner Darius Butler. he will add good depth to the team and can push. He is a Florida boy that made it all the way to Conn and became a star. I think it is an upgrade to a so so CB situation that needs the help of a great pass rush.

My Mocks are different. I take it from the viewpoint of what I would do rather than what I think the GM's are going to do. That is how I have fun with it. So, here are the picks I would make in the selections given. I do not play with trades etc. I amy mention them but this is where I stick. The two best players in this draft are Mark Sanchez and Beanie Wells...click on the names for youtube highlights. I hope you enjoy "my opinion". This is what I would do and not what they will do.
